Overview

Electrical Engineering is one of the largest and most diverse technological field in the world. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers undergraduate educational program and research opportunities in two of the field's broadest areas:

  1. Power and Machines.
  2. Communications and Electronics.

The department offers B.Sc. degree to students based on the credit hours system; the students have to pass 160 credit hours to get the degree. Electrical Engineering encompasses many areas that have a direct bearing on our everyday lives. Industrial end products such as electrical motors, electrical generators, computers, communication systems, and consumer electronics are visible evidence of the vitality and importance of these disciplines.

The primary goal is to provide an outstanding education for students in electrical engineering and to develop future leaders in the field. The acquired knowledge covers the fields of telecommunications, electronics, power, control and electric drives; enhanced with practical implementation.

Vision:

Excellence in electrical engineering(EE) education and research to become recognized locally, regionally and internationally as a leader in its field of specialty.

Mission:

To provide high quality educational opportunity for students by delivering a well-established electrical engineering program in conjunction with a thorough foundation in theory and practice fostered with tools and skills required to fulfill society and market needs.
