Electrical Engineering is one of the largest and most diverse technological field in the world. The Department of Electrical Engineering offers undergraduate educational program and research opportunities in two of the field's broadest areas:
Power and Machines.
Communications and Electronics.
The department offers B.Sc. degree to students based on the credit hours system; the students have to pass 160 credit hours to get the degree. Electrical Engineering encompasses many areas that have a direct bearing on our everyday lives. Industrial end products such as electrical motors, electrical generators, computers, communication systems, and consumer electronics are visible evidence of the vitality and importance of these disciplines.
The primary goal is to provide an outstanding education for students in electrical engineering and to develop future leaders in the field. The acquired knowledge covers the fields of telecommunications, electronics, power, control and electric drives; enhanced with practical implementation.
Excellence in electrical engineering(EE) education and research to become recognized locally, regionally and internationally as a leader in its field of specialty.
To provide high quality educational opportunity for students by delivering a well-established electrical engineering program in conjunction with a thorough foundation in theory and practice fostered with tools and skills required to fulfill society and market needs.
- Have a high degree of professionalism and practice mechanical engineering ethically, successfully and objectively.
- Work successfully individually as well as in teams and will be continually developing their knowledge and skills throughout their careers.
- Successes in graduate studies and research.
With a few years of graduation, graduates of EE Department are expected to meet high professional, ethical, and societal goals as demonstrated by:
Success in chosen profession or career as exhibited by career satisfaction promotion, distinguished technical positions, management leadership positions, professional responsibilities, leading-edge and consulting activities.
Success in post-graduation studies as exhibited by advanced degrees earned and satisfaction with the decision to pursue their higher education, publications, presentations, patents, inventions and awards.
Contribution to local society as exhibited by public and / or volunteer services, leadership roles, out reach activities.
