Overview

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering; mechanical engineering is concerned with studying the mechanical systems in industrial enterprises and buildings, analysis and design. Mechanical engineering specialty includes the following knowledge areas:


  1. Heating and air conditioning and refrigeration systems
  2. Mechanical Building Services Systems
  3. Design and production of parts and mechanical machinery
  4. Maintenance of vehicles and machinery
  5. Power plants

Department of Mechanical Engineering was founded at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2012 - 2013 to meet the needs of the Jordanian and Arab markets of Cadres specialized in various fields of mechanical engineering from both theoretical and practical. It is expected the graduation of the first cohort of students section at the end of the academic year 2015-2016. Department poses one academic program, and the graduate is awarded a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at the end of requirements of the program. English language is the main language of instruction in addition to Arabic language.
Vision:

Distinction in the rendering of the education, research and community services in mechanical engineering on the local, regional and international levels.


Mission:

To prepare mechanical engineering graduates who are capable of fulfilling mechanical engineering needs of Jordanian, regional and international societies professionally and with competence.

  2. Work successfully individually as well as in teams and will be continually developing their knowledge and skills throughout their careers.
  3. Successes in graduate studies and research.
