Overview of scholarships
Scholarships inside and outside the kingdom are seen to be a major lever for educational
institutions. They would achieve sustainable development for human resources and
qualify distinguished staff to meet the market needs according to the international
academic criteria. ZU’s vision and mission focus on the qualification of national
human powers of high proficiency to enrich the market.
Training and scholarships aim to raise the level of those belonging to ZU in a bid
to both obtain high degrees and develop their academic skills in harmony with its
requirements. They would also foster scientific and research cooperation as well
as create contacts with prominent global scientific institutions.
Due to the significant role played by scholarships in ZU’s progress and proper role
performance, the administration has entrusted the Deanship of Scientific Research
and Graduate Studies with the scholarships affairs. The DSRGS has been keen on facilitating
everything related to the issue, especially the contacts with the delegates to follow-up
with the new scholarship regulations. At the moment, there are 11 PhD delegates
in the US, UK, Australia, Italy and Jordan in different specialties.
