This department was established in 1994 and is considered important
because of its role in providing various services for faculties and departments.
It also includes competent technical cadres who are skilful in performing different
tasks. Moreover, it involves 162 employees and 40 workers distributed on 6 units:
Maintenance and Engineering Unit:
concerned with maintaining university’s buildings and utilities as well as supervising
buildings under construction and manufacturing some furniture for university.
Security and Public Safety Unit:
concerned with keeping order and discipline inside university, managing student’s
entry, maintaining students’ security and holding specialized courses for unit recruits.
concerned with supervising cleaning workers, checking utility cleanliness
and setting up daily, weekly and monthly cleaning plans.
Health Control and Restaurants Unit:
concerned with it controlling food health, providing pure water by
processing waste water, and testing water in labs.
Agriculture Unit: concerned
with gardening and landscaping university’s plain and green spaces, taking care
of olive trees as well as running fountains and falls.
