About the Department
Physical Therapy is a healthcare profession in the field of rehabilitation that promotes optimal health for individuals of all ages. The physical therapist is qualified to provide preventive and curative services aimed at restoring lost function and movement and preventing disability resulting from illness or injury, through the use of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
Zarqa University offers a four-year program leading to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. The program offers the ability to rehabilitate disability cases associated with neurological diseases, bone diseases, pediatric diseases, heart and chest diseases, and diseases associated with aging.
Of the local and regional community’s urgent need for graduates of Physical Therapy, we created this program in the College of Allied Medical Sciences in the winter of 2023-2024.
