The department of pharmacy was established in 2010 to be the third faculty of health sciences after the faculty of Allied Medical Sciences and the faculty of Nursing at Zarqa university, and to provide the Zarqa and Mafraq areas in particular and the Jordanian and Arab market in general with highly qualified pharmacists. The faculty of pharmacy also encourages students to innovate and participate in scientific competitions and conferences.

The faculty of Pharmacy always strives for excellence in teaching and innovations in scientific research, hence then the faculty of pharmacy has obtained the Quality Assurance Certificate on the national level (the silver rank), which is awarded by the Higher Education Accreditation Authority in Jordan after fulfilling all the requirements needed for this accreditation.
