On Tuesday 7/9/2021, a delegation from Palestine Polytechnic
University visited Zarqa University in order to discuss ways of academic and
research cooperation between the two universities.
The delegation included the University President, Dr. Amjad Barham,
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Fawzi Al-Razem, Head
of the Department of Mathematics and Applied Physics, Dr. Ayed Abdel Ghani, Dr.
Muhammad Al-Adam, faculty member in Mathematics and Applied Physics, and Dr.
Naseem Igtet, Faculty member in Engineering. They were received by the Acting
President of the University, Prof. Nidal Al-Ramahi, and the Vice President for
Administrative Affairs, Prof. Nidal Eisha, and a number of deans of faculties and
Prof. Nidal Al-Ramahi pointed out that the university seeks to
excel in the field of scientific research by supporting researchers and
partnering with various institutions, which has led to the university's
distinction at the local, Arab and international levels and its entry into
international rankings, as the university enjoys the support of His Excellency
the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zarqa Compant for Education and
Investment, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaira, and the Board of Trustees represented by
its Chairman, His Excellency Eng. Samir Habashneh.
On his part, Dr. Barham praised the level reached by Zarqa
University and the facilities it includes, stressing the two universities’
efforts towards deepening the scientific and research partnership between the
two universities. He extended his thanks to the presidency of the university
and the deans of faculties and centers, especially the Dean of the Faculty of
Science, Dr. Alia Burgan, for her efforts in coordinating the visit and
research cooperation. He pointed out that this visit comes with the support of
the Arab-German Academy for Young Scientists in the Sciences and Humanities.
At the end of the meeting, the acting president of the university,
Prof. Nidal Al-Ramahi, honored the guest delegation, while Dr. Barham honored
the chairman of the Zarqa Company for Education and Investment, Dr. Mahmoud Abu
Shaira, and the acting president and dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Dr. Alia
