The Faculty of Arts at Zarqa University is one of the fundamental pillars and building blocks that accompanied the establishment of the university step by step, moment by moment, keeping pace with the development and excellence that the university has witnessed since its founding.

The Faculty strives in its journey to excel among its fellow faculties of arts in Jordanian universities, and works to develop education and ensure quality. It achieved a high standing in this direction when the students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature obtained first place among public and private universities in the competency exam held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the first semester of the academic year 2006/2007, and first place among private universities in the second semester of the same year.

Moreover, the university recently received accreditation for its academic programs from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions. This accreditation has significantly contributed to the graduation of successive cohorts of students, who have enriched the nation with highly trained professionals. These graduates have matured while absorbing the literary knowledge provided by a well-equipped academic institution with all the latest educational tools. They have acquired this knowledge from a select group of professors carefully chosen by the university administration from diverse backgrounds to fulfill their mission.

The university's vision and mission are clear to them, and the core of this vision is excellence and innovation in education and scientific research within the disciplines of the Faculty of Arts.

The Faculty of Arts comprises three main departments:

1.Department of Arabic Language

2.Department of English Language: which includes three programs:

a.English Language and Literature

b.Translation

c.Applied English

3.Department of History

These three departments provide the academic and practical materials that students need after graduation to meet the needs of society and the local and regional market, thus contributing effectively to progress and development. The faculty also includes a Service Courses Unit, which provides humanities courses to support university students.
