Responsibilities of the Accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Planning Committee

1.Promoting and strengthening a culture of quality assurance throughout the Faculty and its academic departments.

2.Monitoring quality-related activities and overseeing the implementation of quality assurance standards and institutional best practices.

3.Ensuring that the Faculty's intended learning outcomes are aligned with its mission, vision, and strategic objectives.

4.Developing the Faculty's annual operational plan, monitoring its implementation, overseeing the execution of the strategic plan, and managing associated opportunities and risks.

5.Establishing annual quality objectives for the Faculty and evaluating their achievement at the end of each academic year.

6.Preparing annual reports that document progress made in implementing both the annual operational plan and the strategic plan.

7.Monitoring the implementation of continuous improvement plans and their key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring that corrective actions are executed effectively and in accordance with institutional procedures.

8.Periodically reviewing and updating the Faculty's vision, mission, values, and strategic objectives to reflect emerging developments and institutional priorities.

9.Ensuring the Faculty's readiness to meet specialized accreditation requirements prior to internal and external accreditation review visits.

10.Collecting and analyzing performance data, preparing statistical reports, and maintaining accurate documentation related to academic and administrative evaluation processes, including course specifications, faculty performance, course materials, examinations, and other quality indicators.

11.Preparing quality assurance reports, recommending performance improvement plans, and following up on the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions.

12.Evaluating committee files and quality documentation to ensure compliance with institutional quality assurance standards and documentation requirements.

13.Participating in University-level quality assurance, internal audit, and accreditation committees, as well as contributing to activities related to accreditation, quality assurance, and ISO standards.

14.Preparing and coordinating the Faculty's participation in institutional excellence and quality awards at the national, regional, and international levels.

15.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of accreditation, quality assurance, and strategic planning initiatives.


 


Responsibilities of the Scientific Research, Innovation, and Academic Activities Committee

1.Developing the Faculty's scientific research policy and identifying strategies to enhance research performance within the Faculty and its academic departments.

2.Preparing the Faculty's annual research plan in alignment with national research priorities, while monitoring and evaluating its implementation.

3.Providing scientific and research consultation to faculty members across various academic disciplines.

4.Reviewing applications for scientific research awards, evaluating research proposals submitted for financial support, and recommending them before forwarding to the University's Deanship of Scientific Research.

5.Recommending approval for faculty participation in scientific conferences, workshops, and professional development programs in accordance with the University's approved procedures.

6.Planning, organizing, supervising, and monitoring scientific conferences, symposia, seminars, and academic meetings on a regular basis, including the formation and oversight of subcommittees to support these activities.

7.Contributing to the Faculty's scholarship and academic sponsorship plans, reviewing applications for scholarships, academic missions, and sabbatical leave, and ensuring compliance with the applicable eligibility criteria.

8.Granting ethical approval for postgraduate students' research projects and reviewing faculty members' research ethics applications before recommending them to the University's designated Research Ethics Committee in accordance with approved procedures.

9.Reviewing academic promotion applications submitted by faculty members and verifying their compliance with the University's regulations and promotion criteria.

10.Encouraging scientific research by supporting faculty participation in academic conferences, specialized workshops, and the publication of research in peer-reviewed scholarly journals.

11.Evaluating academic textbooks proposed for teaching purposes, reviewing authored and prescribed textbooks, or recommending qualified reviewers based on the subject matter and academic specialization.

12.Monitoring the requirements of major research projects and overseeing the implementation of research projects funded by the University.

13.Promoting a culture of scientific research and innovation among students through research initiatives, scholarly competitions, and academic activities.

14.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of research, innovation, and academic excellence.


  

Responsibilities of the Curriculum, Credit Transfer, and Academic Advising Committee

1.Reviewing, developing, and updating academic study plans, and preparing recommended study plans for newly admitted and transfer students.

2.Preparing academic advising lists and assigning students to faculty advisors.

3.Monitoring students expected to graduate each semester, identifying their academic needs, and ensuring they complete all graduation requirements.

4.Continuously reviewing and updating study plans to ensure alignment with labor market demands and emerging academic developments.

5.Preparing the semester course schedule in accordance with the approved recommended study plans.

6.Reviewing faculty members' teaching preferences and coordinating course assignments accordingly.

7.Evaluating and approving credit transfer requests for transfer and bridging students in accordance with University regulations.

8.Recommending and implementing necessary amendments to study plans to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

9.Reviewing course specifications in both Arabic and English to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with course learning outcomes and content.

10.Updating textbooks, references, and learning resources used in course delivery to reflect current academic and professional standards.

11.Collecting and analyzing feedback from students, employers, and academic experts regarding the effectiveness of existing curricula and identifying opportunities for improvement.

12.Reviewing prerequisite and co-requisite requirements for courses and recommending modifications that enhance academic progression throughout the curriculum.

13.Addressing academic changes and exceptional cases by developing appropriate remedial plans and academic solutions.

14.Recommending specialized training programs and workshops that contribute to curriculum development, innovative teaching methods, and continuous academic improvement.

15.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of curriculum development, academic advising, and student success.


 

Responsibilities of the Examinations and University Proficiency Examination Committee

1.Reviewing and periodically updating examination regulations and procedures in accordance with policies approved by the University Council of Deans.

2.Preparing monthly, midterm, and final examination schedules for approval and ensuring their publication well in advance of the examination period.

3.Ensuring that examination halls are adequately prepared and appropriately allocated to accommodate the number of students.

4.Supervising the overall administration of examinations, monitoring examination procedures, and ensuring that invigilators perform their duties professionally and in accordance with University regulations.

5.Preparing comprehensive reports on the conduct and outcomes of examinations within the Faculty.

6.Verifying the accuracy of grade recording and ensuring that all grading procedures comply with the University's approved regulations and quality standards.

7.Organizing regular meetings and preparatory programs for students sitting the University Proficiency Examination, providing academic guidance and encouraging high levels of performance.

8.Coordinating with the E-Learning Center and the Deanship of Admission and Registration to ensure the availability and readiness of examination facilities and required technical support.

9.Analyzing the results of each examination to identify strengths and areas for improvement in teaching and learning, and recommending appropriate enhancement measures in collaboration with course instructors.

10.Evaluating the outcomes of the University Proficiency Examination and professional licensure examinations, identifying students' strengths and weaknesses, and proposing targeted improvement and development plans.

11.Designing and implementing surveys to evaluate stakeholder satisfaction with examination procedures, invigilation, examination venues, scheduling, fairness, transparency in invigilator assignments, and overall examination administration.

12.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of examination management, assessment quality, and academic excellence.


Responsibilities of the Student Affairs and Alumni Relations Committee

1.Coordinating orientation activities for newly admitted students at the beginning of each academic year to facilitate their successful integration into the University environment.

2.Conducting surveys to assess the opinions and experiences of students expected to graduate at the end of each semester and maintaining comprehensive records of the findings.

3.Collecting and maintaining alumni information, monitoring graduates' employment status, and regularly updating their contact details, including telephone numbers and email addresses, in coordination with the Alumni Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs.

4.Encouraging the active participation of both current students and alumni in Faculty committees, academic initiatives, and extracurricular activities.

5.Receiving and addressing student concerns and cases, proposing appropriate solutions, and submitting recommendations to the Head of Department and/or the Dean of the Faculty.

6.Reviewing cases involving academic dishonesty, including incidents of cheating or attempted cheating, in accordance with University regulations.

7.Investigating student misconduct occurring within University premises or facilities, including offenses involving Faculty staff or damage to University property.

8.Reviewing student disciplinary violations and recommending cases, where appropriate, for referral to the University's Investigation and Disciplinary Committee within the Deanship of Student Affairs.

9.Coordinating with the Career Guidance and Employment Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs to provide students with career development services, employability support, and professional guidance.

10.Coordinating with the King Abdullah II Fund for Development Office within the Deanship of Student Affairs to organize training programs and capacity-building activities that meet students' academic and professional development needs.

11.Preparing reports highlighting the achievements and accomplishments of outstanding students and distinguished alumni.

12.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of student affairs, alumni engagement, and student success.


  

Responsibilities of the Community Engagement and Activities Committee

1.Planning, organizing, and implementing community engagement programs and initiatives that support the development of local community institutions.

2.Organizing extracurricular activities, events, and programs both on and off campus to enhance students' educational and social experiences.

3.Encouraging and facilitating the active participation of faculty members, administrative staff, and students in University activities and community service initiatives.

4.Identifying key issues and challenges facing the local community and developing strategic plans and initiatives to address them.

5.Promoting community service initiatives and fostering a culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among faculty members, staff, and students.

6.Establishing and maintaining partnerships with charitable organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community associations, and social institutions to support collaborative community programs and activities.

7.Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and impact of community engagement activities and initiatives on a regular basis.

8.Overseeing and supporting the Faculty's scientific and cultural publications, ensuring their continuous development and quality.

9.Coordinating training courses, workshops, and awareness programs for members of the local community on topics of mutual interest and societal relevance.

10.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of community engagement, outreach activities, and institutional social responsibility.



Responsibilities of the Faculty Handbook, Digital Services, and Website Committee

1.Reviewing, updating, and maintaining the Faculty website in both Arabic and English, ensuring the consistency and accuracy of content across both language versions.

2.Following up with faculty members to ensure that their professional profiles, academic information, and curricula vitae are regularly updated on the University's Faculty Portal.

3.Supporting e-learning initiatives and coordinating with the University's E-Learning Center to resolve issues related to online teaching and distance learning.

4.Preparing and publishing the Faculty Handbook and departmental guides on an annual basis, ensuring a professional presentation in coordination with the University's Department of Cultural and Public Relations.

5.Updating information related to the Faculty, its academic departments, faculty members, study plans, academic programs, and activities in coordination with the relevant University units.

6.Promoting and publicizing the Faculty's activities, events, and achievements through appropriate communication channels, while maintaining an up-to-date calendar of upcoming activities.

7.Supporting and monitoring the digital marketing and online promotion of the Faculty's academic programs to enhance visibility and student recruitment.

8.Monitoring national and international university rankings and benchmarking indicators relevant to the Faculty's academic programs, with the aim of strengthening their competitive position and supporting continuous improvement.

9.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of digital transformation, institutional communication, and information management.



Responsibilities of the Library and Learning Resources Committee

1.Conducting periodic inventories of books, textbooks, and reference materials relevant to the Faculty's academic disciplines in coordination with the University Library.

2.Ensuring the availability of all required textbooks and reference materials for courses offered within the approved study plans.

3.Coordinating with faculty members to identify books, references, and learning resources that require updating or acquisition.

4.Preparing and maintaining the official list of prescribed textbooks and recommended references at the beginning of each academic semester for approval.

5.Reviewing electronic databases and digital information resources relevant to the Faculty's disciplines and monitoring reports on their utilization and effectiveness.

6.Monitoring library circulation statistics and evaluating the use of library services and learning resources by students and faculty members.

7.Overseeing the readiness of the Faculty's research laboratory and recommending upgrades and enhancements whenever necessary.

8.Maintaining and updating the library's reserved books collection to ensure that essential course materials remain readily accessible.

9.Organizing student training programs on information literacy, electronic literature searching, and effective use of library resources in coordination with the University Library.

10.Recommending subscriptions to electronic resources, digital libraries, academic databases, and educational platforms that enhance teaching quality and strengthen research capabilities.

11.Identifying the learning resources and technological requirements necessary to support distance learning and blended learning initiatives.

12.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty in support of library services, learning resources, and academic excellence.



Responsibilities of the Practical Training, Graduation Projects, and Laboratories Committee

1.Developing the general policies and regulations governing practical training, recommending measures to enhance students' practical skills, improve training quality, and identify suitable training providers.

2.Coordinating with external training institutions and industry partners to provide an appropriate learning environment and facilitate the work of faculty supervisors and internship coordinators.

3.Liaising with relevant stakeholders and decision-makers to enhance students' professional competencies and learning outcomes throughout their practical training.

4.Planning and improving laboratory infrastructure, assessing laboratory requirements for scientific equipment, instruments, chemicals, and consumable materials, and preparing procurement plans prior to each academic year.

5.Promoting the integration of modern technologies into practical training by incorporating simulation technologies and ensuring laboratories are equipped with up-to-date software and digital learning tools.

6.Monitoring the maintenance, calibration, repair, and replacement of laboratory equipment and training facilities within the University.

7.Receiving newly acquired laboratory equipment from suppliers in accordance with University procedures, verifying its functionality, and ensuring its proper allocation to the appropriate laboratories.

8.Monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety standards in laboratories and on-campus training facilities to ensure a safe learning environment.

9.Ensuring that laboratories and practical training facilities meet specialized accreditation requirements in coordination with the Accreditation, Quality Assurance, and Strategic Planning Committee.

10.Assigning faculty supervisors for students' graduation projects, monitoring project implementation and practical training processes, and organizing the scheduling and venues for graduation project presentations and examinations.

11.Encouraging outstanding graduation projects and facilitating their connection with the University's Business Incubator and entrepreneurship initiatives.

12.Promoting interdisciplinary collaboration by supporting joint graduation projects involving students from different academic programs and faculties.

13.Preparing comprehensive reports on practical training activities, including student participation, placement locations, supervising faculty members, and other relevant performance indicators.

14.Conducting surveys to assess the satisfaction of students, employers, and partner training institutions regarding the quality, effectiveness, and outcomes of practical training programs.

15.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty.




Responsibilities of the Graduate Studies Committee

1.Developing, reviewing, and updating graduate study plans and academic programs within the Faculty to ensure their continued relevance and quality.

2.Conducting periodic internal evaluations of graduate programs to support continuous quality improvement and program development.

3.Reviewing and approving master's thesis proposals and research plans in accordance with academic and research standards.

4.Coordinating and overseeing academic and administrative matters related to graduate students throughout their studies.

5.Ensuring the timely submission of all graduate studies forms and documentation to the University Graduate Studies Council in accordance with established procedures.

6.Organizing and supervising master's thesis supervision arrangements in compliance with the University's regulations and approved policies.

7.Coordinating with thesis supervisors to nominate and appoint members of master's thesis examination committees.

8.Monitoring the implementation of quality assurance mechanisms and academic standards for graduate programs.

9.Encouraging graduate students to participate in extracurricular activities, research initiatives, academic conferences, and scholarly publication.

10.Establishing the general framework for graduate research and the guidelines governing the preparation and writing of master's theses, in accordance with the Graduate School's approved Thesis Writing Manual.

11.Following up on the submission of preliminary thesis manuscripts to the Graduate School in accordance with the University's applicable regulations.

12.Ensuring that the final, professionally proofread version of the thesis is submitted to the external examiner in accordance with the University's approved procedures.

13.Verifying the accuracy of students' grades and ensuring that all grading processes are carried out in accordance with the University's approved regulations.

14.Reviewing and approving the final results of graduate-level courses prior to their official submission.

15.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty.



Responsibilities of the International Accreditation Committee

1.Identifying and evaluating internationally recognized accreditation bodies for Faculties of Economics, Business, and Administrative Sciences.

2.Establishing and maintaining communication with international accreditation organizations to facilitate the accreditation process and institutional collaboration.

3.Reviewing and interpreting the eligibility requirements, accreditation standards, and quality criteria established by international accreditation agencies applicable to the Faculty.

4.Coordinating and preparing the necessary documentation and institutional arrangements for establishing accreditation agreements and formal engagement with relevant international accreditation bodies.

5.Planning, monitoring, and overseeing all stages of the international accreditation process, ensuring the Faculty's continuous compliance with accreditation standards and supporting successful accreditation outcomes.


 

 

Responsibilities of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee

1.Monitoring the safety and security of the Faculty's buildings, facilities, equipment, and other physical assets to ensure a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

2.Identifying infrastructure requirements related to occupational health and safety and submitting recommendations to the Dean's Office for necessary improvements and maintenance.

3.Coordinating regularly with the Building Supervisor to ensure the continuous maintenance of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the Faculty building.


Responsibilities of the Social Committee

1.Strengthening social relationships and fostering a spirit of cooperation and collegiality among faculty members and administrative staff within the Faculty.

2.Planning, coordinating, and organizing social, cultural, and recreational activities both on and off campus to promote engagement and team spirit.

3.Designing and implementing surveys to assess participants' satisfaction, evaluate the diversity and effectiveness of committee activities, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

4.Managing the Committee's financial affairs in accordance with the University's approved financial regulations and administrative procedures.

5.Performing any additional duties assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty.



Responsibilities of the Faculty Marketing and Academic Programs Promotion Committee

1.Promoting the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and increasing awareness of its academic departments and distinguished undergraduate and postgraduate (Bachelor's and Master's) programs.

2.Collaborating with the Faculty Website Committee to continuously develop and enhance the Faculty's website, while coordinating with the relevant departments and administrative units to ensure that website content remains accurate, current, and comprehensive.

3.Showcasing the academic, research, and professional achievements of faculty members through appropriate communication and promotional channels.

4.Highlighting the academic excellence, research accomplishments, and extracurricular achievements of the Faculty's students and graduates.

5.Promoting the Faculty's academic programs in coordination with the University's relevant administrative units by developing high-quality marketing content and disseminating it through digital platforms, including promotional videos, blogs, news articles, the Faculty website, and official social media channels.
