The Faculty of Pharmacy was established at the
beginning of the first semester of the 2010–2011 academic year, becoming the
third faculty in the field of health sciences after the Faculty of Allied
Medical Sciences and the Faculty of Nursing. Its establishment aimed to provide
the governorates of Zarqa and Mafraq in particular, and the Jordanian,
regional, and global markets in general, with highly competent pharmacists who
contribute to advancing scientific and applied research and developing
pharmaceutical services directed toward serving patients and society at local,
regional, and international levels.
In addition, the Master of Pharmaceutical
Sciences program was introduced at the beginning of the first semester of 2018,
supporting the advancement of scientific research and the development of higher
education in the pharmaceutical field.
The Faculty is an integral part of the health
higher education system and the broader pharmaceutical community and its
institutions. It is an active member of the Association of Faculties of
Pharmacy, collaborating in harmony with pharmacy faculties at other
universities, the Jordanian Pharmacists Association and its branches, as well
as with pharmaceutical institutions including manufacturers, companies, drug
warehouses, and pharmacies, in addition to non-pharmaceutical institutions, all
working toward national prosperity and community development.
The Faculty dedicates its efforts to equipping
