In a new sporting achievement, Zarqa University won first place in the 42 km women's race at the 15th Amman International Marathon.

The marathon, held under the slogan "Run in the Heart of Amman," was organized by Run Jordan on Friday, October 17th, 2025, in Amman.

Hanwiya Adam Hasaballah, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, deservedly won first place in the 42 km women's individual race, confirming Zarqa University's excellence in sports among Jordanian universities and the Kingdom as a whole.

The marathon saw widespread participation from professional and amateur runners from both inside and outside Jordan, transforming the capital's streets into a vibrant sports platform that brought together thousands of participants. This atmosphere embodied the spirit of athletic competition and cultural diversity, cementing Amman's position as a prominent sports and tourism destination in the region.

Prof. Dr. Nidal Ramahi, President of Zarqa University, expressed his pride in this achievement, which reflects the university's commitment to nurturing outstanding students in various fields. He emphasized that the university pays special attention to sports activities, given their role in shaping students' personalities and fostering a sense of belonging and fair competition.

Dr. Mukhled Al-Zoubi, Dean of Students’ Affairs, congratulated the winning student, praising her efforts and honorable representation of the university in this major sporting event. He emphasized the Deanship of Students’ Affairs' continued support for athletic talent and providing an appropriate environment that enables students to participate in local and international tournaments and achieve the best results.
