Two researchers from Zarqa University have achieved a new scientific
milestone by receiving the Best Online
Paper Award at the Intelligent
Information Systems and Computing Conference (IISCC 2026), held
in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 14
to 16 September 2026.
The award was presented to Dr.
Khaled Al-Qawasmi from the Faculty of Information Technology
and Dr. Hamza Al-Hamad
from the Faculty of Pharmacy for their research paper entitled:
“Artificial Intelligence in
Medication-Related Clinical Decision Support: Current Opportunities,
Limitations, and Future Directions.”
The study explores the application of artificial intelligence technologies
in supporting medication-related clinical decision-making by examining the
opportunities offered by these technologies, the key challenges and limitations
affecting their implementation, and future directions for developing
intelligent solutions that enhance the efficiency of decision-making in
healthcare.
This achievement reflects Zarqa
University’s commitment to advancing interdisciplinary scientific research
and promoting research collaboration among its faculties, particularly in
emerging fields that integrate information technology, pharmaceutical sciences,
and artificial intelligence, contributing to the production of impactful
research with both scientific and practical value.
