Zarqa University, represented by the Faculty of Dentistry in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, welcomed a group of children from the Omar Bin Al-Khattab Association on Monday, February 16, 2026. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Nisreen Al-Salem, along with faculty and administrative staff members and a number of students.
The program included an interactive educational lecture on the importance of oral health and proper toothbrushing techniques, delivered in an age-appropriate and engaging manner. Dental students also conducted preliminary oral examinations to assess the children’s dental health and provide preventive guidance.
The event further featured recreational and cultural activities, interactive competitions, and the distribution of gifts, incentive prizes, and toothpaste provided with the support of Madib Haddad & Sons – Colgate Meridol.
Professor Dr. Nisreen Al-Salem emphasized that the initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to community engagement and to promoting preventive oral health awareness among children from an early age. She noted that such activities not only serve the local community but also enhance students’ practical and interpersonal skills, reinforcing the University’s dedication to social responsibility alongside its academic mission
