The Accounting Section is responsible for maintaining accounting entries and records in accordance with applicable accounting principles and for ensuring the implementation of financial policies and accounting procedures in line with the University’s regulations and instructions. The Section also prepares financial statements, periodic reports, and the balance sheet, in addition to handling other financial matters, such as international transfers related to subscriptions and the University’s memberships in external organizations.

The Cheques Unit operates under the Accounting Section and is responsible for preparing cheques payable to external entities, including governmental and private organizations, as well as payments to external researchers and financial entitlements due to graduating students.
