Admission Requirements and Available
Programs for International Students
Zarqa University welcomes
international students from all countries around the world in accordance with
the University’s admission requirements and regulations. The University
provides international students with the necessary academic and administrative
support to enable them to pursue their studies successfully.
Admission
Requirements for Bachelor’s Degree Programs
- The applicant must hold the Jordanian General Secondary
Education Certificate (Tawjihi) or an equivalent qualification, duly
authenticated in accordance with the applicable procedures.
Applicants
Holding Secondary School Certificates Issued Outside the Hashemite Kingdom of
Jordan
Secondary school certificates issued
outside Jordan must be authenticated in the country where the certificate was
issued and must subsequently complete the required authentication procedures
within the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Applicants must submit a certified
copy of their General Secondary Education Certificate, together with a detailed
transcript showing the grades obtained in all subjects. The documents must be
authenticated by:
- The Ministry of Education in the country where the
applicant studied.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country where
the certificate was issued.
- The Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in that
country.
The authentication process must then
be completed within Jordan through:
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the
Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
- The embassy or cultural attaché of the country where
the applicant studied.
- The Ministry of Education of the Hashemite Kingdom of
Jordan.
Important Note:
Any non-Jordanian student holding a non-Jordanian secondary school certificate
requires an official letter from the University addressed to the Jordanian
Ministry of Education in order to complete the equivalency procedures for the
secondary school certificate, where equivalency is required.
- A copy of the applicant’s passport.
- A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate.
- Two personal photographs.
- After submitting all required documents, the applicant
must submit an admission application to the Admissions Section.
Diploma
Holders – Admission to Bridging Programs
Students from outside Jordan who
wish to enroll in bridging programs and who hold a community college diploma
may be admitted provided that their academic transcript clearly indicates that
they have completed the diploma and graduated.
Applicants must also provide the
University with an official letter issued by either:
- The Ministry of Higher Education in the country where
the diploma was awarded; or
- The embassy of the applicant’s country in Jordan,
confirming that the diploma
qualifies its holder to continue university education toward a bachelor’s
degree in that country.
Alternatively, applicants may obtain
an official equivalency for their diploma from the Jordanian Ministry of Higher
Education and Scientific Research.
Bachelor’s
Degree Holders and Students Transferring from Other Universities
Applicants must submit:
- A bachelor’s degree transcript.
- A graduation certificate.
Both documents must be duly
authenticated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The bachelor’s degree must be
officially recognized or equivalized, where required, by the Certificate
Equivalency Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific
Research. Alternatively, the applicant may submit an official letter of
confirmation from the cultural attaché of the country where the qualification
was obtained, confirming the applicant’s eligibility to pursue studies in that
country.
Important Note:
Students holding bachelor’s degrees, students transferring from other
universities, or students transferring from institutes or community colleges
outside Jordan must have studied at institutions recognized by the Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Alternatively, an official recognition letter from the country where the
qualification was issued may be submitted. All certificates must also complete
the required authentication procedures at the Ministry in accordance with the
applicable regulations.
Special
Provision for Non-Jordanian Students
Non-Jordanian students holding
General Secondary Education Certificates are granted an exception of 15
marks, in accordance with the regulations and instructions issued by the
Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom
of Jordan.
General Secondary Education Streams
Special Provision for Non-Jordanian Students
An additional 15 marks are added to the General Secondary Education average as an exception for non-Jordanian students, in accordance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
Scientific Stream
All available faculties and academic programs
Students who have successfully completed the Scientific Stream of the General Secondary Education Certificate may enroll in the faculties listed below, provided that their secondary school average meets the minimum admission requirement for the chosen program.

Literary Stream
Students who have successfully completed the Literary Stream of the General Secondary Education Certificate may enroll in the faculties listed below, provided that their secondary school average meets the minimum admission requirement for the chosen program.
