Local Community Development

 

  • Have you ever participated in volunteer work?
  • Have you ever encountered a situation in which your help was needed?
  • Would you like to become an active and positive member of your community?
  • Would you like to invest your time and energy in activities that benefit both you and your community?
  • Do you have ideas for volunteer or community development initiatives but have not yet found the support needed to put them into action?
  • If you are passionate about serving your community, we warmly welcome you to join the Community Development and Service Office. 


The Community Development and Service Office aims to strengthen the University’s engagement with the local community through meaningful volunteer work and to promote the values of volunteerism and social responsibility among students. The Office seeks to foster solidarity, equal opportunity, and integration between the University and the local community by providing assistance, care, and support to individuals, governmental institutions, and private organizations in accordance with their needs across various fields. Through the Office, students are given the opportunity to apply the knowledge, skills, and positive values they have acquired during their university education in serving their community and contributing to the development of their country through volunteer work.


Vision

To achieve excellence in community development by instilling the importance of volunteer work among students and strengthening its value as an essential component of social responsibility.

Mission

To activate the University’s role in addressing community challenges and contributing to development initiatives through effective and sustainable partnerships with the local community.


Objectives of the Division

  • To develop and strengthen students’ sense of citizenship by encouraging their active participation in volunteer work.
  • To design projects, programs, and initiatives for various sectors of society and supervise their implementation.
  • To conduct applied field research.
  • To contribute to developing individuals’ capabilities and skills.
  • To participate in raising awareness and promoting knowledge and culture among members of the community.
  • To contribute to implementing the University’s general policy in the fields of community service and environmental development.
