Scientific Research Strategies
The Deanship of Scientific Research
has sought to align its strategic plan with the University’s broader strategic
directions in a manner that contributes to achieving national priorities and
serving the public interest. Within this framework, the members of the
Strategic Plan Preparation Committee adopted the following key references:
- The University Strategic Plan for 2021–2025, which was developed based on several key foundations,
including His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein’s Seventh Discussion
Paper issued on 15 April 2017, the National Qualifications Framework for
academic qualifications, the National Strategy for Human Resource
Development (2016–2025), and other relevant national frameworks.
- The previous Strategic Plan of the Deanship of Scientific
Research for 2015–2020,
which was reviewed as a reference and as a basis for completing
initiatives and objectives that had not yet been fully implemented.
- Benchmarking against the strategic plans of reputable
universities, including, at the local
level, the University of Jordan and Yarmouk University; at the Arab
regional level, Ain Shams University and King Fahd University of Petroleum
and Minerals; and internationally, Stanford University in the United
States and Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
