The Department of Accounting Sciences at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Zarqa University organized a scientific field visit to the headquarters of the First Seed Production Company, with the aim of familiarizing students with the cost and accounting systems applied in agricultural enterprises and sectors. The visit was attended by students from the department and supervised by the Head of the Department of Accounting Sciences, Dr. Thaer Faisal Qashtam.

The visit included a field tour of the company’s agricultural fields, during which the company’s Deputy General Manager, Eng. Rami Abu Mousa, provided a detailed explanation of the various stages of seed production and development. He also highlighted the latest technologies and practices adopted in this field before accompanying the participants on an introductory tour of the company’s various facilities and departments.

On the accounting and financial side, the company’s Financial Manager, Mr. Osama Zaki Haboub, together with accountant Abdul Wahab Tayaha, delivered a detailed presentation on the cost systems and accounting treatments adopted by the company, financial reporting procedures, and methods used to calculate production costs in the agricultural sector. The presentation contributed to bridging theoretical accounting concepts with their practical applications.

In addition, Human Resources Manager Ms. Aisha Haddad presented an overview of the company’s organizational structure, its various departments, as well as its human resources management and employee development mechanisms.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Tariq Mubaideen, emphasized that such scientific visits are part of the Faculty’s commitment to strengthening the practical dimension of the educational process, aligning university learning outcomes with labor market requirements, and providing students with opportunities to gain firsthand insight into practical experiences within leading national institutions.

He added that Zarqa University places great importance on field training and scientific visits due to their significant role in developing students’ skills, enriching their professional experience, and enhancing their practical knowledge, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates capable of competing effectively in the labor market.
