Zarqa University has achieved a new international academic milestone with the renewal of its institutional accreditation by the UK-based Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC) for the period 2026–2028, and its designation as a Premier Institution, the highest accreditation status awarded by ASIC to its accredited educational institutions.
This achievement reaffirms Zarqa University’s advanced standing in the areas of quality assurance and international accreditation and reflects its ongoing commitment to developing its teaching and learning systems, enhancing the university environment, and advancing the quality of academic and administrative services provided to students in accordance with international best practices and standards.
President of Zarqa University, Professor Nidal Al-Ramahi, stated that the renewal of the British accreditation represents a significant qualitative achievement that adds to the University’s distinguished record of accomplishments at the local, regional, and international levels. He noted that attaining the Premier Institution status reflects the efficiency and effectiveness of the University’s academic and administrative systems, as well as its commitment to fostering a culture of quality and excellence across its colleges, units, and facilities.
Professor Al-Ramahi also expressed his appreciation for the continued support provided by Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaera, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zarqa Company for Education and Investment, as well as by the University’s Board of Trustees, for the University’s development plans. He emphasized that this support has played a key role in achieving numerous significant accomplishments that have strengthened the University’s presence and standing in the fields of quality assurance, accreditation, and international rankings.
He further commended the efforts of the University’s academic and administrative staff, along with all colleges, departments, and units that contributed to this achievement. He also praised the team responsible for the British accreditation process, including the Development and Quality Assurance Unit and the ASIC Accreditation Committee, for their organized and systematic institutional efforts in fulfilling the accreditation requirements and strengthening the University’s international profile and reputation.
