Zarqa University participated in the launch ceremony of the “Sablet Al-Hassan 2026” Program, which was inaugurated under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, representing His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, Honorary President of the El Hassan Youth Award. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials, academics, and members of the Award’s Board of Trustees. Zarqa University was represented at the event by Dr. Salim Al-Khatib, on behalf of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

This year’s program brings together 65 young men and women representing 20 universities and colleges from across the Kingdom. Over the course of 13 days, participants will take part in a wide range of activities and field training exercises, including rappelling and mountain descent, hiking and climbing Jabal Umm ad Dami, and taekwondo. The program also includes visits to national institutions and archaeological sites, as well as awareness and dialogue workshops addressing entrepreneurship, citizenship, and digital security.

Zarqa University’s participation reflects its belief in the importance of linking theoretical knowledge with practical field experience and community service, while fostering the values of teamwork, belonging, and active citizenship among its students.
